At PA Horizons Counseling, we recognize that healing happens on many levels- emotional, physical, and energetic. Reiki-Assisted Therapy integrates traditional talk therapy with Reiki energy healing to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and support emotional balance.

Whether you’re managing stress, processing trauma, or simply seeking a deeper sense of calm, Reiki-Assisted Therapy can help you reconnect with yourself in a grounded and gentle way.
What is Reiki-Assisted Therapy?
Reiki-Assisted Therapy combines counseling and energy healing to support relaxation, emotional release, and nervous system regulation. During sessions, your therapist- trained in both mental health and Reiki- uses hands-off energy techniques to help restore balance and calm within the body.
This integrative approach allows clients to explore thoughts and emotions while also addressing how those experiences are held physically and energetically. Many clients describe feeling lighter, more centered, and deeply relaxed after sessions.
What to Expect in a Session
Each session begins with a brief check-in to discuss your emotional state and goals for the reiki session that day. You would then be invited to sit or lie down to begin the energy healing session. You would first be guided through a somatic embodiment exercise for grounding, followed by receiving the reiki modality of your choice (Usui Fire Reiki, Maternity Reiki or Shamanic Reiki) and finally completing the session with some time to process your experience with Gabby if you'd like.

Clients often experience:
-
A deep sense of calm or warmth
-
Emotional clarity or release
-
Reduced physical tension and anxiety
-
A renewed sense of inner peace
Sessions are always guided by your comfort level. Reiki can be incorporated into ongoing therapy sessions or offered as a focused, stand-alone service.
Who Can Benefit?
Reiki-Assisted Therapy may be especially helpful for individuals who:

-
Feel disconnected from their body or emotions
-
Experience stress, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm
-
Are seeking a more embodied approach to healing
-
Want to complement traditional talk therapy with holistic support
-
Are looking for ways to ground after trauma processing
Frequently Asked Questions

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a gentle energy healing technique that promotes relaxation and balance. The practitioner channels energy through light touch or by hovering hands above the body to encourage the body’s natural healing response.

Is Reiki religious or spiritual?
Reiki is not associated with any religion. It’s simply an energy-based practice that supports emotional and physical well-being. No specific beliefs are required.

Do I need to believe in Reiki for it to work?
Not at all. Reiki works by supporting the body’s relaxation response, which can benefit anyone open to the experience.

How long are sessions?
Reiki-Assisted Therapy sessions are typically 90-minutes and can be scheduled as part of your regular counseling or as stand-alone appointments.
